This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Deliver up-to-date and extensive knowledge of Amgen's offerings while conveying clinical advantages to healthcare professionals.
• Act as the main point of contact for customers and execute marketing strategies as directed by the District Manager.
• Propel territory sales through effective branded messaging, organized programs, medical education initiatives, and both in-person and virtual interactions.
• Cultivate and oversee customer accounts, tailor interactions, ensure product accessibility, address reimbursement challenges, and uphold product contracts.
• Offer marketing insights, assess sales performance and territory effectiveness, and collaborate with the District Manager to formulate territory strategies.
• Collaborate with team members to exchange best practices and foster learning and development.
• Maintain enthusiasm for the product throughout the sales process while enhancing the Amgen brand and supporting patient needs.
• Adhere to Amgen's values and accountability standards.
• Specialty Representative: A Bachelor's Degree OR an Associate's degree coupled with 4 years of Sales experience OR a high school diploma/GED along with 6 years of Sales experience.
• Senior Specialty Representative: A Bachelor's degree with 3 years of sales and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field unrelated to sales OR an Associate degree with 6 years of sales and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field unrelated to sales OR a high school diploma/GED with 8 years of sales and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field unrelated to sales.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, healthcare medical devices, or medical supply sectors is preferred.
• Sales, marketing, and/or clinical experience is advantageous.
• Prior product or hospital sales experience in the specified specialty fields is preferred.
• Exceptional influencing and relationship-building abilities with an emphasis on achieving sales results.
• Familiarity with the local market is essential.
• A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration is preferred.
• Ability to adapt in sales planning, possess business/industry/technical knowledge, communicate effectively, focus on results, and cultivate relationships.
