Speech Language Pathologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Assess students who have communicative disorders.

• Identify speech and language disorders through diagnosis.

• Create and execute tailored education plans for individual students.

• Design suitable service delivery models.

• Refer students to relevant professional and community organizations.

• Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to reinforce therapy progress within the classroom.

• Offer information, support, and guidance to parents, guardians, and families.

• Aid teachers in recognizing students with communicative disorders.

• Keep records for students who have been evaluated and those receiving services.

• Update administrators and educational team members regarding program updates and student achievements.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and uphold professional ethics and leadership.

• Coordinate services with additional school programs.

• Effectively communicate in both written and spoken forms.

• Undertake other related responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active (or eligible) Alabama State SLP license.

• Alabama Professional Educator Certificate with an endorsement in Speech Language Pathology.

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Preferably, experience in a school setting, though not required.

• Compliance with school system regulations, administrative procedures, local board policies, and state and federal laws and regulations.
