This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Implement brand strategies and initiatives in the field.
• Achieve sales targets, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and key accounts.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales performance.
• Develop pre-call strategies utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Manage objections effectively and consistently secure logical, actionable outcomes to finalize sales discussions.
• Attend to customer needs, expectations, and challenges to foster trusted relationships and attain mutually beneficial agreements.
• Create and implement call strategies that maximize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements, market dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical data, and sales methodologies.
• Relay market insights to the in-field, brand, and sales teams.
• Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with the designated healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Travel approximately 20% of the time and participate in scheduled training events and sales meetings.
• Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience required.
• In lieu of a bachelor's degree: a minimum of five (5) years of experience, with at least three (3) years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector preferred, plus a high school diploma/GED required.
• Experience with Buy and Bill preferred.
• Ability to proactively assess customer styles/behaviors and adjust selling techniques accordingly.
• Strong scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Business acumen and adeptness in utilizing business tools.
• Capabilities in strategic and critical thinking.
• Effectiveness in operating within a matrix environment.
• Documented success in leadership and support roles at district, regional, and/or organizational levels.
• Demonstrated sales success in relevant therapeutic areas preferred.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving standards.
• Capability to travel as needed to cover the territory, including overnight training and sales events.
• Ability to operate a personal vehicle, company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing, or be eligible to obtain them.
• May require background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses.
