This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Establish robust customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Develop pre-call strategies using SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections and create calls to action to finalize sales conversations.
• Attend to customer needs and foster trusted relationships.
• Formulate and execute call plans to enhance customer coverage and frequency.
• Acquire knowledge about customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales.
• Relay market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition among assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain disease-state experts, speakers, and advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Travel approximately 20% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business-related field, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated success in sales.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Excellent business acumen.
• Proficient in the use of business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking abilities.
• Capacity to adjust selling approach based on customer style and behavior.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• Previous experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in English both verbally and in writing.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Capable of passing a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Meet safe driving requirements.
• Ability to travel sufficiently to cover the territory and participate in overnight training events and sales meetings.
• Competence in driving a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• Ability to fulfill applicable HCIR credentialing requirements, including potential background checks, drug screens, proof of immunizations/vaccinations, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain HCIR credentials.
