This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in West Virginia.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and target accounts.
• Establish robust customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop pre-call plans using SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations.
• Manage objections, clarify misunderstandings, and address concerns; secure calls to action and finalize sales calls.
• Attend to customer needs, expectations, and challenges to foster trusted relationships and mutually beneficial agreements.
• Create and implement call plans to meet call metrics and enhance customer coverage and frequency.
• Gain insights into customer needs, territory market dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, products, clinical details, and sales proficiency.
• Provide market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Communicate AbbVie’s value proposition to assigned healthcare providers effectively.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Collaborate with district colleagues, matrix teams, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand-plan stakeholders.
• Anticipate traveling approximately 50% of the time.
• Serve specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other external stakeholders in the therapeutic brand domain.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field, or relevant equivalent industry experience is required.
• In the absence of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five (5) years of experience, with at least three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred, alongside a high school diploma/GED is required.
• Demonstrated history of success in sales.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Capacity to recognize customer style/behavior and adjust the selling approach accordingly.
• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbal and written.
• Must fulfill applicable HCIR credentialing requirements.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain necessary credentials.
• Proven knowledge in scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive domains.
• Strong business acumen and adeptness with business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Must comply with safe driving standards.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
