This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and tactics within the field.
• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate customer relationships and address their needs to enhance sales performance.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and conduct evaluations post-call.
• Manage objections and concerns while securing calls to action during sales interactions.
• Attend to customer needs and expectations to establish trusted relationships and attain mutually beneficial agreements.
• Create and implement call plans to maximize customer reach and sales opportunities.
• Gain insights into customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales methodologies.
• Disseminate market intelligence with field teams, brand teams, and sales leadership.
• Articulate AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Collaborate with specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, field team members, sales leadership, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand-plan stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
• Relevant industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years of experience, with three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector preferred.
• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Proven success record in sales.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written, for non-English-speaking countries.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible for credentials.
• Demonstrated knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Strong business acumen and effective use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
