This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in West Virginia.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing targets.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Create objectives for pre-call planning and conduct post-call assessments.
• Manage objections and consistently drive actions to close sales calls.
• Address customer requirements and establish trusted relationships.
• Design and execute call plans to enhance coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Gain insights into customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Provide market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned healthcare professionals.
• Identify, develop, and sustain disease-state experts and advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• A minimum of five years of experience, with at least three years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science industry preferred when substituting experience for a bachelor’s degree.
• A high school diploma or GED is required for the experience-based alternative.
• Proactively recognizes customer styles/behaviors and adjusts the selling approach accordingly.
• Functions effectively in a matrix environment.
• Displays knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Documented leadership and support experience at district, regional, and/or organizational levels.
• Proven sales success within relevant therapeutic areas is preferred.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing, is required for non-English-speaking countries.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
• A valid driver’s license is necessary.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with safe driving standards.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company vehicle or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
