This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate customer relationships and address client needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales outcomes.
• Establish pre-call planning objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns; secure calls to action and successfully close sales discussions.
• Meet customer needs and expectations while fostering trusted relationships.
• Design and implement call plans to maximize coverage and frequency with key clients.
• Gain insights into customer needs, the market landscape of the territory, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease, products, clinical information, and sales practices.
• Provide market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Highlight AbbVie’s value proposition to the assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates.
• Comply with AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a related business field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
• If lacking a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years of relevant industry experience is required, with at least three years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• Demonstrated history of leadership achievements.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Robust business acumen.
• Proficiency in utilizing business tools.
• Ability to think strategically and critically.
• Capability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and adjust selling techniques accordingly.
• Competence to operate effectively in a matrix organization.
• Preferred experience in the pharmaceutical commercial industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• In-depth knowledge of scientific concepts, therapeutic areas, products, and competitive landscape is preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language is preferred.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing standards.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to acquire necessary credentials.
• Capability to pass background checks, drug screenings, immunization/vaccination verification, fingerprinting, and state or city-specific licensing where required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Must fulfill safe driving requirements.
