This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the designated territory and manage targeted accounts.
• Cultivate strong relationships with customers and address their needs.
• Develop pre-call strategies and carry out post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings during sales interactions.
• Create and implement call strategies to maximize customer engagement and sales potential.
• Gain a thorough understanding of customer requirements, territory landscape, competitors, market trends, accounts, disease information, products, clinical data, and sales practices.
• Communicate market intelligence to field teams, brand, and sales management.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Prioritize patients in all initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred.
• Relevant industry experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree: at least five years of experience, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector is preferred.
• A high school diploma/GED is required when utilizing the experience alternative.
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and adeptness with business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to tailor the selling approach to match customer styles and behaviors.
• Skilled in developing sales strategies and innovative solutions.
• Competent in functioning effectively within a matrix organization.
• Experience in leadership and peer coaching.
• Proven success in leadership/support roles of escalating responsibility.
• Documented sales achievements in relevant therapeutic fields are preferred.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing, for non-English-speaking countries.
• Must comply with applicable HCIR credentialing requirements.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible for HCIR credentials.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving criteria.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
