This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Implement brand strategies and initiatives in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Foster strong customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Establish pre-call plan objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Manage objections, concerns, and misunderstandings to drive sales closure.
• Attend to customer needs and cultivate trusted relationships.
• Design and implement call plans to enhance coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Gain insights into customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical knowledge, and sales practices.
• Communicate market intelligence with in-field teams, brand management, and sales leadership.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition among assigned healthcare professionals.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates.
• Travel is expected to be around 25% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience is required.
• Relevant industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector is preferred.
• A high school diploma/GED is required if substituting experience for a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated history of leadership success.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Excellent business acumen.
• Proficient in using business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to recognize customer styles and behaviors and adjust selling techniques accordingly.
• Competent in operating effectively within a matrix environment.
• Proficiency in English is preferred for non-English-speaking countries.
• Must fulfill applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain them.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Must meet safe driving qualifications.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Willingness and ability to drive a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
