This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics within the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Foster strong customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop pre-call plans and carry out post-call evaluations.
• Manage objections, concerns, and misunderstandings to facilitate calls to action and close sales.
• Create and execute call plans to enhance coverage and frequency for key customers.
• Acquire knowledge of customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Share market intelligence with in-field teams, brand teams, and sales teams.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
• In the absence of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of 5 years of experience, including 3 or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry is preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• Demonstrated track record of successful leadership.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Solid business acumen.
• Proficient in the use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and adjust selling techniques accordingly.
• Effectively operate within a matrix environment.
• Preferred experience in the pharmaceutical commercial industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Preferred in-depth knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Proficiency in English is preferred for non-English-speaking regions.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain a good standing status or be eligible to obtain such credentials.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Must comply with safe driving requirements.
