This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics effectively in the field.
• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance sales performance.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Develop pre-call strategies and conduct post-call assessments.
• Manage objections and secure calls to action during sales interactions.
• Address customer needs and foster trusted relationships with clients.
• Create and implement call plans to maximize customer coverage and sales opportunities.
• Gain insights into customer requirements, territory market dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical knowledge, and sales methodologies.
• Communicate market intelligence to field, brand, and sales teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent experience in the industry is required.
• If lacking a bachelor’s degree, at least five years of relevant industry experience is necessary, with three or more years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors preferred.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive landscapes.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency in utilizing business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to tailor selling approaches to diverse customer styles and behaviors.
• Skilled in developing sales strategies and innovative solutions.
• Capable of operating efficiently within a matrix environment.
• Experience in leadership and peer coaching.
• Documented success in leadership and support roles with increased responsibilities.
• Proven sales performance in relevant therapeutic areas is preferred.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to meet applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements.
• A valid driver’s license is necessary.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and adhere to safe driving standards.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
