This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call strategies and perform post-call assessments.
• Manage objections and secure calls to action during sales interactions.
• Attend to customer needs and establish trustworthy relationships.
• Create and implement call plans to enhance customer coverage and sales opportunities.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical subjects, and sales strategies.
• Communicate market intelligence with in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition for healthcare providers.
• Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Travel approximately 50% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant and equivalent industry experience in place of a bachelor’s degree, with three (3) or more years preferred in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry.
• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Established record of leadership success.

• Capability to identify customer styles/behaviors and adapt sales approaches accordingly.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing, is preferred for non-English-speaking countries.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain these credentials.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Must meet safe driving criteria.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
