This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee assigned territory and target accounts.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop pre-call strategies and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings to prompt action and finalize sales calls.
• Formulate and implement call strategies to enhance customer coverage, frequency, access, and sales opportunities.
• Acquire comprehensive knowledge of customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Share market insights with in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred; relevant and equivalent industry experience is acceptable in place of a bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience, including at least three (3) years within the pharmaceutical/health/science sector is preferred for candidates qualifying through experience instead of a bachelor’s degree.
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and proficient in the use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Demonstrated success in sales.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficient in the English language, both spoken and written.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain credentials.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Capability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Must comply with safe driving requirements.
