This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Foster strong customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales performance.
• Establish pre-call plan objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Manage objections, misunderstandings, and concerns while driving calls to action to finalize sales calls.
• Address customer requirements and cultivate trusted relationships.
• Create and execute call plans to meet metrics and optimize customer coverage and frequency.
• Develop an understanding of customer needs, territory market dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical knowledge, and sales expertise.
• Share market intelligence with field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Highlight AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Travel 25% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience can substitute for a bachelor's degree, including at least three (3) years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector is preferred.
• A high school diploma/GED is required when using experience instead of a bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated history of leadership achievement.
• Strong presentation abilities.
• Robust business acumen.
• Competent in utilizing business tools.
• Possess strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and adjust the selling approach accordingly.
• Capable of functioning effectively within a matrix environment.
• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• In-depth knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive information is preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language is preferred for non-English-speaking regions.
• Must meet the applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain the necessary HCIR credentials.
• Ability to clear background checks, drug screenings, immunization/vaccination verifications, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licensing requirements as necessary.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Must meet safe driving standards.
• Capable of operating a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
