This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.

• Oversee the designated territory and focus accounts.

• Cultivate customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales performance.

• Achieve sales targets, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.

• Develop pre-call strategies and conduct post-call assessments.

• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings to facilitate calls to action and successfully close sales.

• Attend to customer needs and foster trustworthy customer relationships.

• Create and execute call strategies to maximize coverage, frequency, access, and sales opportunities.

• Observe customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical data, and sales metrics.

• Relay market insights to field, brand, and sales teams.

• Highlight AbbVie’s value proposition to designated healthcare providers.

• Identify, nurture, and sustain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience.

• At least five years of relevant industry experience, including three or more years within the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors is preferred in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.

• A high school diploma or GED is required when using industry experience as a substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.

• Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools.

• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.

• Demonstrated success in sales with solid presentation skills.

• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.

• Experience in leadership and support roles at district, regional, and/or organizational levels.

• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing.

• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain them.

• Valid driver’s license required.

• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and adhere to safe driving standards.
