This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the market.
• Oversee designated territory and target accounts.
• Cultivate customer relationships and address their needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales outcomes.
• Achieve sales targets, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call strategies and perform post-call assessments.
• Manage objections and concerns while ensuring calls to action during sales discussions.
• Address customer requirements and establish reliable customer relationships.
• Create and implement call strategies to maximize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Gain insights into customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical topics, and sales.
• Provide market intelligence to field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Highlight AbbVie’s unique value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• A Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree may be substituted with a minimum of five years of experience, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED required.
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and adeptness with business tools.
• Strategic and analytical thinking skills.
• Demonstrated success in sales and effective presentation abilities.
• Capacity to function efficiently in a matrix organization.
• Leadership and support experience at district, regional, and/or organizational levels.
• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing.
• Proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain credentials.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and adhere to safe driving standards.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
