This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Implement brand strategies and initiatives in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and assigned accounts.
• Cultivate robust customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop objectives for pre-call planning and conduct evaluations after calls.
• Manage objections, misunderstandings, and concerns during sales discussions.
• Secure logical and reasonable calls to action to successfully close sales calls.
• Address customer needs, expectations, and challenges to establish trusted relationships.
• Create and implement call plans to fulfill call metrics while optimizing coverage and frequency.
• Enhance understanding of customer needs, the market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Share market intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with designated healthcare providers.
• Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates.
• A bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
• Equivalent industry experience is necessary in place of a bachelor's degree: a minimum of 5 years of experience, with 3 or more years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science industry is preferred.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Demonstrated success in leadership roles.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Solid business acumen.
• Proficiency in business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and adjust selling techniques accordingly.
• Capacity to operate effectively within a matrix environment.
• Preferred experience in the pharmaceutical commercial industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• In-depth knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects is preferred.
• Proficiency in English is preferred for non-English-speaking countries.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible for credentials.
• May require background checks, drug screening, proof of immunization/vaccination, and fingerprinting.
• A valid driver's license is necessary.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
• Must be able to operate a personal vehicle, company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
