This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Implement brand strategy and sales tactics in the field.
• Oversee designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance sales performance.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call strategies and perform post-call assessments.
• Manage objections and secure actionable outcomes during sales interactions.
• Attend to customer needs and foster trusted relationships.
• Create and implement call plans to maximize customer coverage and frequency.
• Acquire knowledge about customer requirements, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical topics, and sales strategies.
• Disseminate market intelligence to field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Highlight AbbVie's value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Preferred bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field, or relevant equivalent industry experience is required.
• A minimum of five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector is preferred.
• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Demonstrated history of leadership success.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Excellent business acumen.
• Proficient with business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and adjust selling approach accordingly.
• Competence to operate efficiently in a matrix environment.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical commercial industry is preferred.
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge is preferred.
• Proficiency in English is preferred for non-English-speaking countries.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain credentials.
• Background checks, drug screenings, immunization/vaccination documentation, and fingerprinting may be necessary.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and comply with safe driving requirements.
