This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Implement brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales performance.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call plans and perform post-call evaluations.
• Manage objections and secure calls to action during sales interactions.
• Address customer needs and establish trusted relationships with clients.
• Formulate and execute call plans to maximize customer coverage and sales opportunities.
• Acquire knowledge of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Communicate market intelligence with field, brand, and sales teams.
• Highlight AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred; relevant equivalent industry experience may be accepted in place of a bachelor’s degree.
• A minimum of five years of pertinent and equivalent industry experience is required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors preferred.
• A high school diploma/GED is necessary when opting for the experience alternative.
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to tailor selling approaches to align with customer styles and behaviors.
• Capability to create sales strategies and innovative solutions.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• Experience in leadership and peer coaching.
• Proven track record of success in leadership or support roles with escalating responsibilities.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
• Must comply with applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to acquire credentials.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and fulfill safe driving requirements.
