This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Manage the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate customer relationships and address their needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales outcomes.
• Achieve sales targets, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Prepare pre-call plans and perform evaluations after calls.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings to encourage actionable outcomes during sales calls.
• Meet customer needs and foster trusted relationships.
• Develop and implement call plans that maximize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Acquire knowledge of customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Communicate market intelligence with field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with designated health providers.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience can substitute for a bachelor’s degree, with at least three (3) years preferred within the pharmaceutical/health/science sector.
• A high school diploma/GED is required if using industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated history of successful leadership.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Excellent business acumen.
• Proficient in the use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to quickly identify customer styles/behaviors and adapt the selling approach accordingly.
• Competence in operating effectively within a matrix environment.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing, is preferred for non-English-speaking countries.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain credentials.
• Background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunization/vaccination, and fingerprinting may be necessary.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening test and adhere to safe driving requirements.
