This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales targets, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate customer relationships and address their needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales outcomes.
• Develop pre-call strategies utilizing SMART objectives and perform evaluations after calls.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings to secure actionable outcomes for closing sales calls.
• Attend to customer needs and foster trusted relationships with clients.
• Design and implement call plans that maximize customer coverage and frequency.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge about customer requirements, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales proficiency.
• Relay market intelligence to in-field teams, brand teams, and sales managers.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value offering to designated healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, with at least three years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector preferred.
• A high school diploma or GED is required if using the experience alternative.
• Demonstrated success in sales with strong presentation abilities.
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Robust business acumen and proficiency with business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Capability to function effectively in a matrixed environment.
• Must meet HCIR credentialing standards, which may include background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunizations/vaccinations, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and fulfill safe driving criteria.
• Ability to travel adequately to cover the territory and participate in overnight training events and sales meetings.
