This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance sales performance.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and conduct post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings while prompting actions to conclude sales calls.
• Attend to customer needs and establish trusted relationships and mutually beneficial agreements.
• Create and implement call plans to meet metrics and optimize customer coverage and frequency.
• Gain insights into customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Relay market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts, speakers, and advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Cover territories including Greenville, Anderson, Greenwood, and Gaffney.
• Travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience required.
• In the absence of a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of five years of experience, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED is required.
• Proactively recognizes customer styles/behaviors and tailors the selling approach accordingly.
• Capability to formulate sales strategies based on observed findings.
• Extensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive factors.
• Strong business acumen and proficient in utilizing business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• Documented success in leadership and support roles of increasing responsibility.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
• Capacity to travel as needed to cover the territory, including overnight training events and sales meetings.
• Proven track record of sales success in relevant therapeutic areas preferred.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements and be eligible to obtain necessary credentials.
• May be required to complete background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination verification, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses.
