This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Implement AbbVie brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales performance.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Manage objections and secure calls to action to finalize sales interactions.
• Address customer needs and establish trusted relationships with clients.
• Create and execute call plans to maximize customer outreach and sales opportunities.
• Gain insights into customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales methodologies.
• Provide market intelligence to the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
• Highlight AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, develop, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates.
• Travel across the designated territory, including Utica, Watertown, Binghamton, Syracuse, and Rochester-West.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience.
• If lacking a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years of experience, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector is preferred, alongside a high school diploma/GED.
• Demonstrated success in sales.
• Strong presentation abilities.
• Knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Business savvy and proficient in utilizing business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Effectiveness in operating within a matrix environment.
• Documented leadership and support experience at district, regional, and/or organizational levels.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving standards.
• Willingness to travel sufficiently to cover the territory and attend overnight training and sales meetings.
• Proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written.
• Ability to meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements, which may include background checks, drug tests, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing is preferred.
