This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Implement AbbVie’s neuroscience brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee an assigned territory and specific accounts.
• Foster strong customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop pre-call plans and perform post-call evaluations.
• Manage objections and ensure calls to action during sales interactions.
• Formulate and execute call plans to enhance customer coverage and sales opportunities.
• Acquire knowledge of customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease information, products, clinical data, and sales expertise.
• Relay market intelligence to field, brand, and sales-management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Center efforts around patients while maximizing both short- and long-term sales performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred.
• Relevant and equivalent industry experience required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years of experience, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry is preferred.
• High school diploma/GED required when opting for the experience alternative.
• Extensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive landscapes.
• Strong business insight and proficient use of business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking capabilities are essential.
• Ability to adjust selling techniques to align with customer styles and behaviors.
• Skill in developing sales strategies and identifying business opportunities.
• Capacity to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• Experience in leadership and peer coaching.
• Documented achievements in leadership/support roles with increasing responsibilities.
• Proven success in sales performance within the relevant therapeutic area is preferred.
• Previous experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to secure HCIR credentials.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test is necessary.
• Must comply with safe-driving requirements.
• Must be capable of driving a personal vehicle, company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
