This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Establish strong customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Create objectives for pre-call planning and conduct evaluations post-call.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings to successfully close sales calls.
• Meet customer needs and achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
• Develop and implement call plans to maximize coverage and frequency for key customers.
• Gain insights into customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Relay market intelligence to field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with designated healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• At least five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience is required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, with a preference for three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry.
• A high school diploma/GED is required if utilizing industry experience instead of a bachelor’s degree.
• Proactively adapt to customer styles and behaviors.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• Possess innovative problem-solving skills and strategic/critical thinking capabilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools.
• Capability to influence others and act as a credible resource.
• Foster collaborative partnerships with district and matrix teams.
• Proven leadership and support success at the district, region, and/or organizational levels.
• Proficient in English verbally and in writing for non-English-speaking countries.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain them.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and adhere to safe driving standards.
• Capable of operating a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
