This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and target accounts.
• Establish robust customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluations.
• Manage objections and secure calls to action to finalize sales calls.
• Create and execute call plans to maximize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Cultivate expertise in market dynamics, competitors, accounts, diseases, products, and sales.
• Relay market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Articulate AbbVie’s value proposition to assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates/speakers.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience required.
• In the absence of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five (5) years of experience, including three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED required.
• Demonstrated history of success in sales.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Solid business acumen and proficient in using business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• Proven success in leadership and support roles with increasing responsibility.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and adhere to safe driving standards.
• Willingness to travel as needed to cover the territory, including overnight attendance at scheduled training events and sales meetings.
• Capability to drive a personal vehicle or company car/truck, or operate powered material-handling equipment.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain credentials.
• Field-based position; candidates should reside within a reasonable distance from Charlotte, NC.
• Preferred: established sales performance in relevant therapeutic areas.
• Preferred: experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
