This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
β’ Oversee the designated territory and focus accounts.
β’ Cultivate customer relationships and address client needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales performance.
β’ Achieve sales targets, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
β’ Develop pre-call strategies utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
β’ Manage objections and secure calls to action to finalize sales discussions.
β’ Address customer requirements and foster trusted relationships.
β’ Formulate and implement call plans to meet performance metrics and improve coverage and frequency.
β’ Acquire knowledge of customer requirements, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical topics, and sales.
β’ Convey market insights to the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
β’ Distinguish AbbVie's value proposition to healthcare providers.
β’ Recognize, nurture, and sustain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a related business field is preferred; equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
β’ If lacking a bachelor's degree: a minimum of five years of relevant industry experience is necessary, including at least three years within the pharmaceutical/health/science sector, along with a high school diploma/GED.
β’ Ability to proactively discern customer styles and behaviors, adjusting the sales approach accordingly.
β’ Knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive landscapes.
β’ Strong business acumen and adeptness with business tools.
β’ Strategic and critical thinking skills are essential.
β’ Capability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
β’ Documented achievements in leadership and support roles with increasing responsibilities.
β’ A valid driver's license is required.
β’ Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving standards.
β’ Willingness to travel adequately for territory coverage and to attend overnight training events and sales meetings.
β’ Ability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
β’ Demonstrated sales success in relevant therapeutic areas is preferred.
β’ Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
β’ Proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written, is required for non-English-speaking countries.
β’ Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible for credentialing.
