This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Establish strong customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance sales performance.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing goals.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluations.
• Manage objections and secure calls to action during sales discussions.
• Address customer needs and cultivate trusted customer relationships.
• Formulate and execute call plans to maximize customer coverage and sales potential.
• Acquire knowledge about customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical data, and sales acumen.
• Share market insights with in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Travel approximately 25% of the time within the assigned territory.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred; or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
• Relevant equivalent industry experience in place of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years of experience, including three or more years within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred.
• High school diploma/GED is required when using equivalent industry experience instead of a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated success in sales and strong presentation skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Strong business acumen and adeptness in using business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Documented leadership and support experience at district, regional, or organizational levels.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
• Ability to travel sufficiently to cover the territory, including overnight training events and sales meetings.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements and be eligible to obtain necessary credentials.
• Must reside within a reasonable distance from Chattanooga, TN.
