This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Foster strong customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings while securing actions to finalize sales calls.
• Formulate and execute call plans to enhance customer engagement and sales opportunities.
• Acquire knowledge of customer requirements, territory market dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales methodologies.
• Communicate market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts, speakers, and advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Travel approximately 10% of the time within the assigned territory.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
• A minimum of five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience in place of a bachelor’s degree, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred.
• High school diploma/GED required when substituting experience for a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated history of success in sales.
• Strong presentation abilities.
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Excellent business acumen and skilled in the use of business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Capability to operate efficiently in a matrix environment.
• Proven success in leadership and support roles with increased responsibility.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving standards.
• Willingness to travel sufficiently to cover the territory and participate in overnight training events and sales meetings.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Compliance with applicable HCIR credentialing requirements, including potential background checks, drug screenings, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses.
• Proximity to Trenton, New Jersey is preferred.
• Ability to discern customer styles and adjust selling techniques accordingly.
• Capability to devise sales strategies and utilize market insights.
