This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Foster strong customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and carry out post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings to successfully finalize sales calls.
• Attend to customer requirements and cultivate trustworthy customer relationships.
• Create and execute call plans to meet call metrics and enhance customer coverage and frequency.
• Acquire knowledge regarding customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical topics, and sales.
• Provide market insights to field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition among healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Collaborate with field team members, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand plan stakeholders.
• Travel approximately 15% of the time.
• Operate within a field-based geography covering Knoxville, Tri Cities, and Chattanooga, Tennessee.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience required.
• In the absence of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years of experience, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred, and a high school diploma/GED required.
• Proven success in sales.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Ability to tailor selling techniques to match customer style and behavior.
• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, for non-English-speaking countries.
• Must meet applicable health care industry representative credentialing requirements.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain necessary credentials.
• Demonstrated knowledge in scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive areas.
• Strong business acumen and proficient in the use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Capability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Must comply with safe driving requirements.
