This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Implement AbbVie's immunology brand strategy and initiatives in the field.
• Oversee the designated territory and target accounts to optimize both short- and long-term sales outcomes.
• Foster customer relationships and address client needs with a patient-centered approach.
• Achieve sales performance targets, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call strategies utilizing SMART objectives and perform evaluations after calls.
• Address objections effectively and consistently encourage actions to conclude sales discussions.
• Meet customer expectations to cultivate trusted relationships and secure mutually beneficial agreements.
• Formulate and implement call plans that enhance customer coverage and interaction frequency.
• Gain comprehensive knowledge of customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical issues, and sales strategies.
• Relay market intelligence to in-field teams, brand managers, and sales leadership.
• Distinguish AbbVie's value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates/speakers.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, in-field team members, sales leadership, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand-plan stakeholders.
• A bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience in the industry.
• Equivalent industry experience in place of a bachelor's degree: a minimum of 5 years, including 3 or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector is preferred.
• A high school diploma/GED is required if using industry experience instead of a bachelor's degree.
• A proven record of success in sales.
• Strong presentation abilities.
• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical sector, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain credentials.
• Demonstrates extensive knowledge in scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive areas.
• Strong business insight and adeptness in using business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix organization.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle or company car/truck or powered material-handling equipment.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and comply with safe driving standards.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time.
