This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Oversee the assigned territory and manage targeted accounts.
• Foster customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales outcomes.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and carry out post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings while securing calls to action to finalize sales calls.
• Attend to customer needs and establish trustworthy relationships with clients.
• Create and implement call plans that optimize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Enhance knowledge of customer requirements, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Relay market intelligence to in-field teams, brand management, and sales management.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain disease-state experts and speaker advocates.
• Collaborate with specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, field teams, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and stakeholders in brand planning.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a related business field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
• If lacking a bachelor's degree: a minimum of five (5) years of experience, with at least three (3) years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED is required.
• A demonstrated history of success in sales.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Capability to modify selling strategies according to customer style and behavior.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written.
• Must meet applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing standards.
• Must maintain good standing and/or be eligible to acquire necessary HCIR credentials.
• Exhibits comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and adeptness with business tools.
• Possesses strategic and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Capable of passing a pre-employment drug screening test and fulfilling safe driving criteria.
• Competent to drive a personal vehicle, company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
