This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Oversee the assigned territory and focus on targeted accounts.
• Cultivate customer relationships and address their needs to enhance both short-term and long-term sales performance.
• Achieve sales goals, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing targets.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misconceptions, ensuring calls to action are secured during sales interactions.
• Meet customer needs and expectations while fostering trusted relationships.
• Create and implement call plans to maximize customer coverage and frequency.
• Gain insight into customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, products, clinical information, and sales proficiency.
• Share market intelligence with in-field teams, brand management, and sales leadership.
• Clearly articulate AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts, speakers, and advocates.
• Collaborate with specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, field teams, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand-plan stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Bachelor's degree in health sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience.
• A minimum of five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree, with at least three years preferred in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors.
• A high school diploma/GED is required if using experience in place of a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated history of success in sales.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain such credentials.
• May be required to undergo background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunizations/vaccinations, fingerprinting, and obtain specific state or city licenses.
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and adeptness with business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• Capability to drive a personal or company vehicle or operate powered material-handling equipment.
• Valid driver’s license is necessary.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and comply with safe driving standards.
