This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and tactics effectively in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Establish strong customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales performance.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Manage objections, misunderstandings, and concerns to facilitate actionable outcomes for closing sales calls.
• Address customer needs, expectations, and challenges while fostering trusted relationships.
• Formulate and implement call plans to meet call metrics and optimize customer coverage and frequency.
• Acquire knowledge of customer needs, the market landscape of the territory, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical topics, and sales strategies.
• Share market intelligence with in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Collaborate with specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, in-field teams, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand-plan stakeholders.
• Travel around 50% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience required.
• If lacking a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years of experience, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED required.
• Demonstrated success in sales.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Capability to identify customer styles/behaviors and adjust selling approaches accordingly.
• Ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
• Skill in influencing others and acting as a credible peer resource.
• Collaborative skills for partnerships in district and matrix teams.
• Proven leadership and support success at district, regional, and/or organizational levels.
• Understanding and ability to utilize findings to formulate sales strategies.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical commercial industry preferred.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screenings, immunization/vaccination verifications, fingerprinting, and any relevant facility or jurisdictional requirements as needed.
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and adept use of business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking abilities.
• Capability to operate effectively within a matrix environment.
• Ability to drive a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements.
