This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Implement AbbVie brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Foster robust customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance sales performance.
• Develop pre-call strategies utilizing SMART objectives, and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections, misconceptions, and concerns, securing calls to action to finalize sales discussions.
• Meet customer expectations and cultivate trustworthy customer relationships.
• Create and implement call plans to meet call metrics and improve customer coverage and frequency.
• Acquire knowledge of customer requirements, the territory's market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales techniques.
• Relay market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates/speakers.
• Collaborate with specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, in-field team members, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand-plan stakeholders.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience required.
• Minimum of five years of relevant industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, including three or more years preferred in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector.
• High school diploma/GED required when using industry experience as a substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Established track record of success in sales.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Capability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and adjust selling techniques accordingly.
• Ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
• Skill in influencing others and acting as a credible peer resource.
• Collaborative partnership aptitude.
• Documented leadership and support achievements at district, regional, and/or organizational levels.
• Comprehension of findings and ability to formulate sales strategies.
• Preferably, experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
• Demonstrated extensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and adept use of business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Capable of driving a personal vehicle, company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving criteria.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time.
