This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluations.
• Manage objections, concerns, and misunderstandings while securing calls to action to finalize sales.
• Fulfill customer needs and expectations to foster trusted relationships and create win-win agreements.
• Formulate and execute call plans that enhance customer coverage and frequency.
• Gain insights into customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical topics, and sales.
• Provide market intelligence to field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Work collaboratively with specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, field team members, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand-plan stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
• At least five years of relevant industry experience, with three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred, can substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• A high school diploma or GED is required when using industry experience as a substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated success in a sales role.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Ability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and adapt the selling approach accordingly.
• Capacity to generate innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities.
• Skill in influencing others and serving as a credible and respected role model/resource.
• Collaborative skills for partnerships within district and matrix teams.
• Documented success in leadership and support roles with increasing responsibilities.
• Ability to analyze findings to develop effective sales strategies.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing, or be eligible to obtain credentials.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Strong business acumen and adeptness with business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking abilities.
• Capability to operate successfully in a matrix environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving standards.
