This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Foster strong customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales performance.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call strategies utilizing SMART objectives and conduct post-call assessments.
• Address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns while prompting calls to action to finalize sales.
• Attend to customer expectations and establish trusted relationships.
• Create and implement call plans that meet call metrics and optimize customer engagement frequency.
• Gain insights into customer requirements, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Provide market intelligence to the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with designated health providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates.
• Collaborate with specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, in-field team members, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand-plan stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant industry experience required.
• Relevant industry experience is necessary in lieu of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years, with three or more years within the pharmaceutical, health, or science industries preferred.
• High school diploma/GED required when utilizing industry experience instead of a bachelor’s degree.
• Proven success in sales is essential.
• Strong presentation skills are required.
• Ability to adjust the selling approach based on customer style and behavior.
• Competence in developing innovative ideas and solutions to optimize business opportunities.
• Ability to influence others and act as a credible peer resource.
• Collaborative partnership with district colleagues and matrix teams.
• Documented success in leadership and support roles with increased responsibility.
• Understanding and ability to leverage insights to formulate sales strategies.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
• Must exhibit extensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and adeptness with business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills are necessary.
• Ability to navigate effectively in a matrix environment.
• Capability to drive a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving criteria.
