Specialized Education Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Deliver legally compliant, specially tailored instruction and compensatory education services to students with active IEPs when necessary.

• Design and implement data-driven, individualized lesson plans.

• Provide instruction in reading and literacy development.

• Facilitate foundational math skills and interventions.

• Instruct on executive functioning and organizational strategies.

• Support the development of functional and adaptive life skills.

• Create, manage, and oversee student IEPs, including case management duties.

• Collaborate with students' IEP teams to coordinate service schedules and customize instruction.

• Conduct screenings, monitor progress, and carry out formal outcome assessments.

• Partner with general education teachers to foster a supportive school culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Special Education teaching license/certification in Colorado.

• Experience in a school setting providing specially designed instruction.

• Proven ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.

• Outstanding collaborative communication skills for engaging with IEP teams, including teachers, parents, and students.

• Proficient in delivering virtual services using meeting platforms.

• Strong familiarity with instructional technology.

• A dedicated, private workspace.

• Secure, high-speed internet connection.

• Reliable computer and webcam.

• Availability Monday through Friday during traditional school hours from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

• Minimum availability of 37.5 hours per week.
