This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
β’ Serve as a subject matter authority on Stripe's Data products, encompassing data pipelines/export, revenue and reconciliation reporting, and analytics tools.
β’ Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of payments and revenue data warehousing and modeling, including pipelines into Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, and Databricks; ETL/ELT patterns; along with financial reporting, reconciliation, and BI.
β’ Perform customer discovery regarding data architecture, warehouses, and reporting stacks to design aligned solutions.
β’ Provide guidance to customers on multi-entity and multi-currency reporting, custom data models, BI tool integrations, ERP/GL systems, and data freshness/latency requirements.
β’ Develop reusable assets and reference architectures while disseminating best practices across sales and pre-sales teams.
β’ Collaborate with the Data product sales team to drive opportunities for major clients, lead solution strategy, and manage key customer relationships.
β’ Act as the Voice of the Customer for prioritizing product and feature developments.
β’ Recognize product, industry, implementation, and competitive trends to impact the Data product roadmap.
β’ Elevate complex technical issues to Stripe's engineering team and facilitate their resolution.
β’ Represent technical business health during quarterly sales forecast discussions and identify deal blockers with proposed solutions.
β’ Assist in marketing events, including executive briefings, conferences, user groups, and trade shows.
β’ Work in collaboration with sales, pre-sales, product, engineering, and senior customer leaders to achieve pipeline and revenue goals.
β’ Over 7 years of experience in a technical sales, pre-sales, or solutions architecture role, focusing on data platforms, analytics, or financial reporting.
β’ More than 3 years of practical experience with data warehousing and pipeline architecture, including Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, and ETL/ELT tools.
β’ Profound understanding of how payments and revenue data correlate with financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
β’ Experience in utilizing or implementing BI/analytics platforms such as Looker, Tableau, Sigma, Metabase, or similar solutions.
β’ Strong foundation in software engineering and API integration patterns, including the construction and maintenance of data pipelines.
β’ Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
β’ Proven track record of establishing effective collaborative relationships with business partners.
β’ Capability to navigate ambiguity and excel in a fast-paced, unstructured environment.
