
Specialist II – Release of Information Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Process, document, and respond to incoming medical record requests from clients, insurance companies, attorneys, and other authorized requesters within specified timeframes.
• Review and verify request documents, authorizations, subpoenas, and records designated for release.
• Ensure that releases are accurate, complete, and comply with federal and state regulations, HIPAA, and other pertinent privacy laws.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and protect patient information in accordance with privacy regulations and company policies.
• Communicate with clients, Grow providers, and other requesters to clarify or gather information, assist with record needs, and provide status updates.
• Collaborate with teammates on special projects, including extensive chart audits.
• Act as a resource for other Grow teams regarding ROI or records inquiries.
• Report directly to the ROI Operations Manager, with an ROI Operations Supervisor managing daily operations.
• Over 2 years of experience in Release of Information or medical records management.
• Background in health information management education and/or credentials is advantageous.
• Proficient with technology and skilled at navigating EMRs, systems, tools, and ticketing software.
• Team-oriented, flexible, and collaborative.
• Eager to foster positive customer experiences.
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on process enhancement.
• Experience in mental/behavioral health and/or technology is a plus (but not mandatory).
• Must reside in and be able to work from the United States.
• Must not require current or future sponsorship to work in the United States.
