Special Education Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Provide virtual Special Education lessons and support to children in schools nationwide.

• Utilize proprietary technology and tools to enhance and facilitate clinical care.

• Work alongside school instructors and seasoned educators to deliver special education instruction.

• Conduct virtual lessons using instructional plans supplied by the district classroom teacher.

• Execute students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), incorporating necessary accommodations and modifications.

• Gather data and document student progress towards established IEP objectives.

• Collaborate with district classroom teachers to ensure continuity of instruction and student services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be able to commit to 35 hours per week during school hours.

• Possess an active, unrestricted, and valid special education teaching credential or license in your state of residence, as well as in New Mexico, in good standing.

• Must be a full-time resident of the United States.

• Have experience teaching special education lessons in a school environment (virtual experience preferred).

• Comfortable and experienced in utilizing various types of technology.

• Adhere to Huddle Up documentation guidelines for evaluation reports and daily SOAP notes.

• Participate in IEP and team meetings.

• Prepare progress reports as requested by the school and complete Medicaid billing if required.

• Have access to a laptop (not a Chromebook) to conduct virtual sessions.
