
Special Assistant to the Head Coach – Women's Basketball

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main coordinator for the program's Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) strategies and opportunities.
• Work alongside Athletics staff and external partners to identify and facilitate NIL opportunities for student-athletes in Women's Basketball.
• Monitor NIL activities and opportunities across the roster.
• Coordinate NIL initiatives with institutional personnel to ensure compliance with University, conference, NCAA, and legal standards.
• Serve as a contact point for agents and authorized representatives of current and prospective student-athletes.
• Build relationships with agents, representatives, and key stakeholders in women's basketball.
• Communicate with student-athletes about revenue sharing, NIL opportunities, and program-related matters.
• Assist in recruitment, retention, transfer portal communications, and professional opportunity coordination.
• Keep records of communications and commitments involving student-athletes and their representatives.
• Develop both short- and long-term roster management strategies in collaboration with the Head Coach.
• Track trends in collegiate women's basketball, transfer portal activity, recruiting, NIL, revenue sharing, and roster construction factors.
• Generate comparative information and market intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.
• Identify roster needs and opportunities based on positional requirements, eligibility, retention risks, and available resources.
• Support discussions and negotiations related to recruitment and retention.
• Stay informed about NCAA, conference, University, revenue-sharing, NIL, agent, and eligibility requirements.
• Collaborate with Athletics Compliance and institutional units to ensure adherence to relevant rules and policies.
• Maintain documentation related to revenue sharing, NIL, and position responsibilities.
• Ensure that approvals and institutional processes are followed before commitments are communicated or finalized.
• Engage in required education and training.
• Provide advice and support to the Head Coach regarding roster management, compensation, NIL, recruiting, and retention.
• Represent Women's Basketball in designated internal meetings.
• Maintain accountability for budget management.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to organize calendars and utilize platforms for effective communication with the team and coaches.
• Proficiency in developing and sustaining positive working relationships.
• Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all organizational levels while projecting a positive, professional demeanor.
