This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Perform intelligence-led investigations and behavioral evaluations of individuals who may be on a trajectory toward committing targeted violence.
• Execute threat investigations.
• Offer peer support services to fellow FDLE members.
• Focus on preventing targeted violence and mitigating threats.
• Take part in oral interviews and selection assessments as necessary.
• Fulfill mandatory background checks, physical examinations, medical evaluations, psychological assessments, drug screenings, fingerprinting, and suitability procedures.
• Minimum of ten years’ experience in investigating violent physical crimes as a sworn criminal investigator.
• Active law enforcement certification or eligibility for certification in Florida under s. 943.13, Florida Statutes and CJSTC Requirements.
• Successful completion of the FDLE Special Agent Trainee Program.
• Excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
• Capability to function in hazardous and high-pressure situations.
• Skill in probing and gathering critical information.
• Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work tasks effectively.
• Proficient in effective communication.
• Competence in accurately describing facts and events.
• Capability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships.
• Skill in analyzing and interpreting data.
• Proficient in conducting effective interviews with suspects, complainants, and witnesses.
• Ability to understand and apply relevant rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Must successfully complete a physical agility test, drug screening, physical examination, electronic fingerprint submission, and psychological evaluation.
• Must hold and maintain a valid Florida driver's license and a United States passport throughout employment.
• Must undergo a comprehensive background investigation, including financial credit checks, criminal history, references, and verification of employment and education.
• Must live or be willing to relocate within 50 miles of an FDLE office upon employment.
• Must sign an employment training reimbursement agreement.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a lawfully authorized alien worker.
