Spanish to English Interpreter – OPI/VRI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific terminology relevant to the industry in which you are interpreting, particularly in healthcare and medical contexts.

• Accurately convey all messages without adding, omitting, or altering any content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service throughout the interpretation process.

• Enable effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and comprehensive interpretation of the messages.

• Implement established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training programs.

• Demonstrate enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Spanish".

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• Possession of international certifications within the healthcare field is beneficial (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
