Spanish to English Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Handle calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Maintain readiness to take notes throughout the call.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific terminology relevant to the healthcare and medical fields.

• Deliver all messages accurately and completely, ensuring no additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Provide exceptional customer service during the interpreting process.

• Enable effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and Clients by accurately interpreting messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Follow the dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in OPI is essential.

• Security Clearance is required (assistance in obtaining it will be provided if not available).

• Must hold Citizenship or a Green Card.

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Spanish".

• At least 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology is necessary.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.) are a plus.

• High school diploma in the native language is required.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills are crucial.
