Spanish OPI/VRI Medical Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Understand the specialized vocabulary pertinent to the industry in which the interpreter operates, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and thoroughly convey all messages without adding, omitting, or altering any content.

• Deliver exceptional customer service while interpreting.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and comprehensive interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and report to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) is essential.

• Security Clearance (if not currently held, assistance will be provided to obtain it).

• Must possess either Citizenship or a Green Card.

• Fluency in the source language (English) and native proficiency in the target language (Spanish).

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

• High school diploma in the native language.

• High emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
