Spanish Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during a call.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which the interpreter operates, particularly healthcare and medical fields.

• Render all messages accurately and completely, without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Deliver the highest level of customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and Clients by providing precise and comprehensive interpretations of messages.

• Apply industry standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show a willingness to pursue new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a Native speaker of the target language 'Spanish'.

• At least 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a recognized interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Knowledge of legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Excellent emotional intelligence and sensitivity to diverse cultures.

• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
