This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +37 more states.
• Take ownership of P&L performance across various Southeast states for homeowners, auto, and related insurance lines.
• Create and implement state and product strategies that encompass pricing, coverage and forms, underwriting guidelines, retention, conversion, and customer experience.
• Evaluate performance metrics, competitive insights, and customer feedback.
• Collaborate with actuarial teams on rate-making, forecasting, segmentation, and risk selection strategies.
• Oversee regulatory filings and manage the approval processes for rate and product modifications.
• Work with technology teams to enhance agent and customer experience.
• Recognize and execute automation and operational enhancements.
• Act as a subject matter expert regarding assigned state markets, regulatory landscapes, competitive dynamics, and product performance.
• Establish and confirm product-market fit through quantitative analysis and customer insights.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives from planning stages to execution.
• Achieve enhanced profitability, disciplined growth, regulatory approvals, product improvements, and insights for market expansion and risk evaluations.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance product management.
• At least 4 years of relevant functional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, mathematics, finance, actuarial science, accounting, economics, engineering, or another quantitative field.
• Direct experience in insurance product management.
• Comprehensive understanding of state-level P&Ls, insurance regulations, and product specifications.
• Proven experience with rate-making, forecasting, modeling, competitive analysis, and risk portfolio management.
• Capability to function effectively in fast-paced settings and rapidly learn new concepts and technologies.
• Strong project management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on clear and persuasive articulation to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Must be able to reside and work full-time in one of the specified eligible U.S. states.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; sponsorship requirements apply.
