Sourcing Specialist – SEA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vietnam, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Identify, evaluate, and establish new suppliers for necessary commodities and components in accordance with Victaulic procedures and business practices.

• Oversee approved Asian suppliers, managing aspects such as capacity, pricing, lead times, inventory, delivery, packaging, logistics, and communication.

• Collaborate with QA and Engineering teams to address supplier quality concerns.

• Analyze and interpret Asian quote packages that meet global requirements, including those from Asian plants.

• Negotiate and finalize global supply contracts for chosen commodities and components.

• Relay updated Victaulic requirements, practices, and processes to Asian suppliers.

• Seek, identify, and cultivate new supplier relationships.

• Acquire, negotiate, and present supplier quotations.

• Issue sample or pattern orders following quotation approval.

• Monitor sampling processes and coordinate with QA and suppliers throughout the sampling phase.

• Collaborate across functions and execute essential purchasing responsibilities as a Sourcing Specialist.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical sourcing experience encompassing supplier identification, development, and qualification.

• Management of supplier performance scorecards.

• Basic understanding of products and manufacturing processes related to ductile iron casting, fabrication, and various valves utilized in piping systems.

• Knowledge of the physical properties of materials and engineering techniques applied in new product development and operational processes.

• Proficiency in reading blueprints.

• Competent in using Microsoft Office software applications.

• Strong presentation abilities at all organizational levels.

• Self-driven, results-oriented, customer-focused, and possessing a sense of urgency.

• Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast Asia region and adapt work schedules as necessary.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• Proficient in English and Chinese, both verbally and in writing.

• Experience in a cross-functional environment and/or within a global culture is a plus.
